Dear Reader,

Welcome to the internet's latest and greatest book review blog -- The Blue Bookcase!  If you are a bookish sort of person, looking for bookish-person-type books, reviewed by bookish friends/freaks, you have come to the right place.

We are an assorted collection of English majors/graduates and just plain book fanatics who want to let you know what we think of the books we read, ranging from the old fart classics to the latest in fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, mystery/suspense, children's literature, and more.

Here's what we'll tell you:

• What the book is about
• Any neat history or information about the book that may pique your interest
• What we thought of the book!
• Our Verdict: On The Shelf (we love it), Rubbish Bin (we hate it), or somewhere In-Between 
• Any warnings about content or language for the more conservative reader
• Recommendations for when and where and under what conditions to read this book
• Favorite excerpts and bits 

Also, remember: we are a bunch of people, and, as such, we may have differing opinions.  Thus, two or more of us may end up reviewing the same book with radically different takes on it!  For example, Julie can read Jane Eyre over and over and over again (and frequently does), whereas for me, reading it is painful, arduous, and undesirable (though I have mad respect for the Brontë sisters).
