It's the easy pick, to be sure, but I agree with you about Freedom. My favorite of the year, too - with Room as a close second.

I'm very curious to read Room, I've heard so many great things about it. I'm asking for a copy for Christmas so ... we'll see
I HATED Pamela. In my opinion, one of the most boring books there is.

I have One Hundred Years of Solitude on my list of most beautifully written books! SO GOOD! I loved Love in the Time of Cholera as well. I have Freedom sitting on my shelf at home. I clearly need to get to this sooner rather than later!

You will LOVE Freedom! One HUndred Years of Solitude is incredible ... I'm reading it really slowly cause I never want it to end ...
One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of my favorites, too. I didn't love Love in the Time of Cholera as much. Are you going to review it? (OHYoS, that is.)
Yes, I definitely plan on reviewing OHYoS once I finish it prob around the end of this month
Both Freedom and Room are going with me on my holiday travels this year--as last minute treats before my classics project. I'm so glad to see them recommended here by you and/or your commenters. Let us know what you think of Room!

It's a beautiful book. I think you will like it.
Ahhh, I still can't believe that it is the end of the year and I have to start making my own list. Where did the time go?

I've heard a lot about Freedom, but still have Corrections on my shelf. Must read that one first.

I've heard a lot of people say that if you like The Corrections, you will like Freedom. Though I haven't read The Corrections yet.
Wow Freedom made it to the top huh! I am blitzkreiged by Freedom reviews and I had been thinking it's a bit overhyped... Perhaps I should flip through and see if it catches my attention...

"blitzkreiged" haha, I like that as a verb. Some people love it and some hate it, but I suggest reading the first chapter and seeing if you find it funny. :)
I don't think I could possibly decide on my favorites and such with another month still to go! I'll do something similar to this later in the year. :D
I've visited every blog who has participated in this survey now and it's so surprising to see how many people disagree on a book! The Dragon Tattoo book, for example, and Freedom. Interesting.
